Classes are held Tuesday mornings from 10-11 am at the White Barn Studio near downtown Amherst.
Our winter season begins the first week of February 2023; classes will be held weekly until the last week of March 2023, with a final show held the last Friday in March for family members to attend.
Each class will begin with a short vocal and dance warm-up. The first half of class will typically be spent singing, while the last half will focus on dancing.
Class members will learn the basics of group (choral) singing, performing and beginning dance moves.
Singing/performing skills may include: proper breathing, singing in tune, blending as a group, projecting to an audience, facial expression, etc.
Dance moves may include: turns, pivots, kicks, jazz squares, snapping/clapping, toe taps, etc.
Currently the only class offered is the Tuesday morning class for children 5 - 11. If all goes well during this first session, I would love to offer future classes for different ages, including preschool and older kids/teens.
